QUIET place
"Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place." Mark 6:31
Where do YOU have your recharge time in the Word?
I have a cozy spot on a loveseat with an afghan made by my Grandma. I've nestled in here enough that when I do settle in, calmness settles over me as I pick up my Bible or devotional to read.

When I move in to my "active" devotional time, I sit at my table that we got a flea market when we were early married.
I enjoy spending time at this table that has so much of our family history tied into it. I rotate my supplies through this creative spot, so I'm energized with what's readily available.
The physical setting doesn't matter to God; He'll meet us wherever we are. I have found that consistency and routine help me settle in quicker, so I'm more open to what He has for me each day in His Word.
"You are my place of QUIET retreat. I wait for Your Word to renew me." Psalm 119:14
As I come back to these letter pages again and again, they fill up with encouraging quotes that quiet my spirit.
My neighbor friend, Mary Jo, created this quilty "Q" for the ABC Bible Quilt Journal and shared her page with us:
"Q" is a little quirky...

Q is for QUIET
quest, quote, question, quota, status quo (as in rising above it, as believers), & Bible Quilt, of course... ;)
