Once you get to Z, you can do an "ABC in review" page...
Congrats, team! We've made it through another round of #abcsofthebible!
"Z" created by Jeanette Z for the ABC Bible Quilt journal
How has your journey been?
Sometimes it feels like a good brainteaser to seek out words that begin with a certain letter.
Sometimes you stumble across a word in a passage you're reading with a fun "a-ha" moment because you've found an inspirational word to add to a letter page.
I knew "Z" was going to be a challenge to find a lot of words, so I did a whole page on the story of Zacchaeus. This is another idea for #biblequiltjournal pages - - - do a whole page on a character in the Bible. Add details that aren't typically told in a Sunday School lesson to try to view the situation from the character's perspective. Zacchaeus WANTED TO SEE JESUS...so he went against the norm and climbed a tree to glimpse a peek at Jesus, which got him noticed and an interaction with Jesus.
Z is for... Zacchaeus
Another way you can incorporate characters of the Bible is to simply add their name on the letter page that corresponds with their name, referencing the book/chapter as a reminder of where to find their story. This can be a great resource for your family!
You can add a letter-of-the-week to do two rounds of the ABCs throughout the year. (26 letters x 2 = 52 weeks)
This is a simple way to build pages and stay in the Word!
Kids like the challenge of generating words/phrases that begin with a certain letter, so you can brainstorm ideas with them and then find references that correspond with these words to your ABC flip card set.
When you get to that letter in your #ABCsofthebible series, you'll have some verses ready to go into your Bible Quilt!
You can add an ABC section to your regular Bible Quilt Journal or start an ABC Bible Quilt Journal, specifically for journeying through the ABCs of the Bible.
If you're looking for a devotional to do with your family or with a friend group, this is an easy way to stay engaged throughout the year with the simple structure of adding verses to a Bible Quilt journal page for a different letter each week.

***Grandparents can share ideas with their grandchildren in other states, yet still feel connected and encourage their spiritual legacy.
***Long-distance friends can swap photos of their ABC pages with each other as accountability partners for one another.

Small groups can use the ABC Bible Quilt journal to track key points in their ongoing Bible study or to use as a craft.
For example, there's a group of quilting friends in Alabama that get together to create ABC pages and have a time of fellowship in the Word. They've made some beautiful pages and shared some in the Facebook group.
However you approach the #abcsofthebible series, you're building a personalized resource that can be used in a lot of wonderful ways for you and your family. I hope this enriches your spiritual journey in beautiful ways!
When you're ready, please share YOUR pages/stories with us on the website Community Boards or in the FB group!
What a wonderful journey!!!! I'm ending simple with ZOO. God's creation is everywhere!
