This month I created a page in my Monthly Bible Quilt Journal on Belief using some of the Creative Elements from Sojo Academy. Their study "Living Rooted in the Gospel" coincided nicely with our topic, 30 Days of Believing, this month.
I printed some of the elements on card stock and others on white sticker paper. I trimmed around the tabs and put them in my handy Altoids storage tin for future use.
I began by writing out Colossians 2:6, layering blue paper with stickers on top. I used a blue cross sticker as the "t" in thanksgiving, reflecting appreciation of Christ's gift to us on the cross.
I used a scallop stencil to draw a border around this main verse, then began adding other verses from the study using the same technique of layer the elements and stitching them together. In keeping with the blue palette in the download kit, I used blue markers and embellishments to maintain the overall effect.
I used one of the tags as the title for my page tab, hole punching it so I could run a ribbon through it for a little added texture.
With a few of the elements, I started an entry in my journaling Bible.
As I've encouraged you before, use what you have on hand. Even if your materials differ from mine, you can use the same concepts and techniques to create a beautiful page as you interact with the Word.
"Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving." Colossians 2:6
