Do you sometimes catch yourself humming a refrain from a Christmas carol?
The phrase "the weary world rejoices" kept swirling about in my head last week, so I decided to spend some time creating with it and digging into the rest of the song, too.
I used the Bells template printed in the December section of my Monthly Bible Quilt journal, coloring in the design first as I contemplated how I was going to break up the stanzas into the quilt squares.
Initially I shaded in the bells with silver, but it was too muted so I did a little swirl using a glitter pen.
I chose phrases that had the most impact to me yet maintained the gist of the song. I meant to add in some of the scriptural foundations, but I was short on time and opted to leave it uncluttered.
