Geometric patterns are fun to color and are versatile for a variety of themes. Here's an Argyle template that my neighbor friend, MaryJo, designed for us.
Sometimes we just need a simple pattern to color and later fill in with whatever scripture is on our hearts.
I decided to start this page just by shading in the triangular shapes with light pastels. (After I colored it, I realized it may resemble a sweater vest I had in junior high!)
I didn't have an immediate plan in mind for this page, but enjoyed prepping it ahead of time so it would be ready when a topic or passage came to mind.
By the way, this is a great technique to use if you're going to be traveling and don't want to schlep around a lot of heavy supplies. You can attach templates, add tabs and washi tape borders so that you have some pages that are waiting for your scriptural inspiration!
Psalms are a wonderful place just to linger.
A friend had recently mentioned Psalm 91, so I read through it again then chose some of the impactful verses to add into a pattern.
I liked the simplicity of leaving space, so I just added some strips of washi tape in the alternating triangles. I'll let it "simmer" a while before I add anything else.
This is another template that can also be oriented vertically.
I'd love to see what you create with this nifty template. Please share in the Comments!
