Tis the season we typically start "counting our blessings" or at least reflecting upon what we are grateful for.
This month in the Drawing Near to God Monthly BQJ we have a chance to use the Blessing Jar template to help us focus on our blessings.
I started my page by coloring in the lids with metallic gel pens, then I added some colorful washi to resemble a tablecloth.
I printed out the Blessings of God sticker sheet and cut out some of the smaller jars, shuffling them around the page to find a good balance.
Tip: When cutting stickers out, leave an edge that you can fold back and forth to separate the adhesive part from the backing. Once you have it separated, trim that excess part off. This keeps you from wrinkling the sticker image.
Next I lightly shaded the jars and adhered the stickers to the page, adding some additional stickers and washi tape on some of the smaller jars. I used a frame cutout from my scrapbooking stash to make a border around the Numbers passage.
I found another scripture sticker about "Giving Thanks," so I added this with a simple stitch line around it.
Then I used pastels to color the background.
I added some washi and stitch lines around the perimeter to help frame the page. Some leaf stickers added a final fall flourish.

"I thought of preserves when I saw the jars, so I used verses about God preserving us. His preservation of us is certainly a blessing!"
- Deb, a Bible Quilter in Tennessee
This template is a fun one to play around with washi tape... for a tablecloth look or to fill up the jars. Go for it!
I love your pages!
