I love how our Bible Quilting community is blossoming like a sweet flower garden, growing in the Lord together! God has blessed us each with different gifts and interests that are as distinctive as a wildflower garden full of bright colors and vibrant textures.
As we gather around my BQ table, we often "ooh" and "ahh" over each other's creative ideas and beautiful pages, encouraging one another and sharing our hearts. I try to provide snippets of our sessions with our "virtual" BQ community table through the website and FB group. I've enjoyed connecting with women in other states and countries, hearing about their unique journeys of faith.
When BQ friends in different states share their ideas and pages, it connects us in a special way.
Like wildflower seeds scattered by the wind and sprouting in little bunches, our BQ community blossoms as we nurture our roots in the Word.
This Grandmother's Flower Garden template was shared by Alice, a quilter in Alabama, who has been meeting with friends each week to Bible Quilt together. She shared this page and graciously agreed for it to be adapted as a template so that others may use it.
Last weekend I got to play around with this sweet design.
Since I had a spot available in my BQ journal after pages on Glory & Honor, I settled on the idea of doing this page on Power.
Initially, I thought I'd add verses inside the petals, but I ended up using washi tape and patterned paper to highlight the flower, making it look a little more quilt-y. (Is that a word?? you know what I mean!)
Fast forward a few months & this is how another page turned out:

May 2021 update:
Patti, a Bible Quilter who has joined us from Canada, recently shared her sweet page with us. She started by laying out her patterned papers, orienting the template vertically.
Then she capitalized on her stash of stickers and cutouts to embellish her page:
