The #rainbowtemplate is a fun starter for all ages. Download the printable template, gather up some colorful washi, and have some fun!
I glued the template onto my journal page and shaded in the "sky" with a variety of blue shades. I had a cloud washi tape that I added for some fun texture in the background and used some other fun washi patterns that fit my theme.

Next I started playing around with the rainbow order of my washi tape. If you don't have the full spectrum, then simply use markers to fill in your color gaps.
My color sequence was not "spot-on" but I liked the playful transitions between patterns:
This Rainbow page is in my #abcsofthebible journal, so I "harvested" scriptures including "R" words/phrases. I plotted out my verses ahead of time for spacing:
I added my scripture words, then embellished with some washi tape for a finishing touch:
