What do we want to carry with us into 2021?
What do we want to let go from 2020?
Is there something in particular we need to release?
What lessons do we want to remember from 2020?
Post-it notes are an easy way to jot down reminders to ourselves, so I'm using the Remember post-it template in my Monthly BQJ to gather up some scriptures to guide me in my journey of this new year.
One of the key take-aways of 2020 for me is the reminder that we are all a work-in-progress.
In 2020, we had to surrender many of our plans and scheduled activities. For 2021, I need to remember to hold things loosely.
"Commit to the Lord whatever you do,
and HE will establish your plans." Proverbs 16:3
I used a combination of actual post-it notes as well as outlines of post-it notes to highlight my selected verses.
Once I had my post-it notes filled in, I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with the background so I stepped away until I had a better idea regarding how I wanted to finish it.
When I came back to complete the page, I added some background swirls in a neutral brown similar to a bulletin board.
I added a title tab, Work in Progress. This page is one I can refer to again and again throughout this year. It is applicable to my personal growth, our family's development, as well as our local, state and national leadership.
"May the favor of the Lord rest on us;
establish the work of our hands for us -
establish the work of our hands." Psalm 90:17
May we begin this year preparing the work of our hands to glorify His kingdom.
May the end of 2021 reflect our individual and collective growth, having accomplished much good work for God's good pleasure and glory.
