I've been playing around with this template idea for a while as that childhood song "He's got the Whole World in His hands" has kept stirring in my mind throughout this global crisis.
These templates are listed as a set so you have the option to create with and without stitch lines.
I'm discovering many themes that you can harvest verses for using this World in His Hands template set.
During this "stay home" period, I've invited my boys to color along with me...
Getting teenage boys to color with their momma is not always easy. Often it takes repeated requests and delicate timing.
I keep inviting them into my process because I enjoy seeing the variety of their illustrations and want them to take part of their own #biblequiltjournal which I've got in progress for each of them.
I'm learning to ask for specifics like just "will you please color the earth on this page?" and then give them space to do it at their own pace.
Sometimes I can slip in beside them and work on something of my own quietly, gradually engaging in conversation.
During these fuzzy days of quarantine, we bop back-and-forth between individual pursuits and family activities. It can be tricky to know where other family members' energy/motivation level is, but patiently being open and vulnerable together gives us some sweet moments.
Hang in there, friends!
In honor of Earth Day, there should be plenty of ideas circulating in social media! I'd love to see how you create with these templates, so please share in the Comments below.
