Do you every get stuck trying to come up with a different background pattern for your BQ squares?
We've got you covered!!
Mary Jo started keeping track of some of the doodles she was using frequently on her #biblequiltjournal pages and shared them with me a while back.
Recently I pulled out her doodle pages again and thought that the whole BQ community would appreciate this type of resource. (I'm keeping mine in page protectors in a 3-ring binder.)
I had fun creating a page of doodles to add to Mary Jo's and then made them into a set of printables for us all to use as a reference.
Hopefully these will generate some ideas for you as ways to fill in some of the white space on your BQ pages or expand the variety of backgrounds in your quilt squares.
You can even adapt some of these for titles or to highlight key words on your pages.
The Doodle Square Combo Set is now available in the online shop. Enter code DOODLES to get it as a free printable.
We've included a blank Doodle Square page in the set for you to draw in your own personal doodles.
If you get a full page of doodle squares completed and would like to share with the Bible Quilting community, email it to me so I can add it to our collection!
You're also welcome to share photo samples of these doodles as you create with them so others can see how you're incorporating them on your BQ pages. Please share your pictures in the comments section below or in our FB group.
Here's a copy of the blank Doodle Squares that you can download immediately to get started.
