My favorite markers are Papermate flair pens. They come in a variety of bold and pastel colors. I've been impressed how long they last!
You might find some good deals during back-to-school sales. I've had luck finding them at Target, Walmart, and office supply stores. They're also available on Amazon.
I'm a big fan of repurposing things that I already have and finding a way to use them more. This is an old jewelry box that wasn't too efficient for corralling small pieces of jewelry, but it works great for Bible Quilting supplies!
I have a sticker stash in a couple drawers and use the lower drawer for pens & pencils.
Although I have a mix of colored pencils that are hand-me-downs from my boys' school supplies, I received these Prismacolor pencils as a birthday gift and LOVE them! (available at Hobby Lobby or Michael's)
You can use an eyebrow pencil sharpener to sharpen your colored pencils!
When my Bible Quilters come over, I get some great ideas from them. These KAISER Coulour gel pens have been fun to use as highlights in hand-lettering. I try to allow some drying time with these to minimize smudges.
