I've had some questions re: printing and cutting #biblequiltjournal templates to fit onto a 7 x 10 Bible Quilt Journal page, so I thought I'd walk you through the process using the Argyle pattern.

The pdf downloads that you receive by email when you order from the online shop are formatted for the template image to be 6.5 x 9.5 inches. You can print on regular sized 8.5 x 11-inch printer paper.
I recommend printing out on paper heavier than regular copy paper so it's more durable. Typically I use white 65-lb weight card stock. You can experiment with different paper textures and colors if you'd like!
Since the template design is already formatted to fit the 7 x 10 BQ journal, you do not have to adjust printing size.
Load your card stock into your printer and print away!

Since standard card stock is 8.5 x 11 inches, you'll need to cut around the template design to get it trimmed down to fit a 7 x 10 journal page.
You can use scissors or a paper trimmer. I've had this Fiskars one for years & love it!

Leave a little white space around the edge of the template design, so you can use washi tape as a border without covering up any of the design.

The edges don't have to be perfectly even since you'll be covering them with wash tape once you've glued the template onto the page.

I use a simple Elmer's glue stick on the back side of the template, pressing it firmly in place.

Then I add a colorful washi tape border to create a border, which also helps reinforce the edges. You can use a thin washi (as shown in this picture) that is visible only on this page. Or you can use a wider washi tape that you can fold over the edge of the page, instantly creating a border on the back side of the page.
Most of the templates in the online Bible Quilt Journal shop are formatted for this 7 x 10 journal size.
I'm gradually expanding to have some 8.5 x 11" options in the shop. These are labeled in the template title as 8.5 x 11. If you happen to order these by mistake and are using a 7 x 10 Bible Quilt Journal, then you'll have to reduce the printing size (I think it's about 85%).
Hope this helps you out, friends!

Try printing the smaller templates at 115% to expand it to 8.5 x 11" paper size. Let me know how that works for you, Christina!
What % do you think we should print if we want to go from 7x10 to 8.5x11? I prefer the larger size I use happy planner discs to bind them.
