We're back IN church and occasionally still enjoying outdoor services when the weather cooperates.
I thought I'd pop in with some samples of sermon notes I've been doing in my BQ Notes journal so you can see the variety of template formats available in it.
I'm learning that it helps to prep the page a little before the service, especially if I'm using one of the blank pages that day. I'll use a stencil to add some immediate structure, then I can work around it as I scribble my notes.
Sometimes I'll use my date stamp to get the page started and that's all I manage. Other days I color in some background and add some washi tape on the edges.
I try to review my notes and add finishing touches within a couple days of the service. I'm discovering that spending just a few minutes can help solidify the memory cues and "connect the dots" between Sundays, especially if we're in the midst of a series.
Recently I had some questions about my cute Bible tabs. They are from the Farm Girl Journals shop and Katie has graciously offered the BQ community a 15% coupon code: QUILT15 that you can use when you order from her.
We spend so much time in our Bibles, adding a little glam every once in a while spruces up our quiet time!!
Please share pics of your BQ notes and tips you've discovered in the Comments below.
