I am so intrigued by Bible Quilting. I think it is a wonderful idea. I am not artistic, so there is that, but my biggest concern is I have a hard enough time being consistent with any kind of Bible study/reading. I am worried I will spend more time ‘trying to get the art correct’ and not focus on the Bible reading.

Deyon, welcome to Bible Quilt Journaling. Just want to say there is no right or wrong way to do your BQJ, it is your personal journal and your time to draw closer to our Heavenly Father. Some days I just color, apply washi tape, or design templates but those days get me focused thinking about what I want to put on those pages and it also quiets my heart and mind. With all that has gone on this year sometime we just need to color.
Just heard a sermon online this past Sunday that was on Worship. One of the things the speaker talked about was that art was a form of worship. My first thought was about those days when doing BQJ and I do more coloring and creating than laying down verses. Our God loves color and made a beautiful creation full of color.
You don't need to be artistic to do BQJ, you just need a bit of time and a heart that wants to draw closer to our Father and whatever you create will be the way you are worshiping.
Enjoy the journey and the community of Bible Quilt Journaling friends!
