We all like a good story...often a few details is what begins those connections between us.
Here's an example of how the Bible Quilt has crossed state lines:
In October 2016, my sis-in-law and I spoke at a church in Kansas about our initial experiences re: Bible Quilting, how it had enriched our own devotional time as well as blessed others we had shared it with. My friend, Amanda, attended that women's gathering and loved this idea. We chatted about how it could be used as part of family devotionals and even incorporated into her homeschool program with her daughter.
Within a few months, Amanda and I had coordinated to send 75 Bible Quilt journals with her missions team to a children's home in Mexico. Yep, the Lord opened the door to send the #biblequiltjournal international before it went to a second state! (His plan is always so much more than what we think we can do, right?)
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
Amanda invited us back to Kansas do a workshop for her church family...and another one for her homeschool friends and larger community.
The Lord continued to work in Amanda's servant-heart as she asked me if she could share Bible Quilting at a family reunion in South Dakota. We figured out those logistics and I sent her a batch of BQ journal supplies in the summer of 2017.
One of the family members at that South Dakota reunion lives in New York. When she returned home, she contacted me about sharing Bible Quilting at her church. Over the course of a few months, we coordinated the details for her to have a Bible Quilt session for Mother's Day weekend in 2018 at her church in New York.
As I send out Bible Quilt®️ journals to strangers from coast to coast, I'm reminded often of the prayer of Jabez,
"Oh that you would bless me and enlarge my border, and that your hand might be with me..." I Chronicles 4:10.
I pray each day for the Lord to guide me and then try to take the small step of obedience that day, trusting Him for the bigger picture only He can see.

48 States, 10 Countries, and counting...
I am in Montana. I learned about Bible Quilting when I attended an online conference put on by the Sojo Academy. That was 2-3 years ago (2019 I think), and I'm just now being able to put it into practice during my quiet time in the mornings. Thank you, Dianna for being willing to share your ideas with the rest of us. God bless.
