We all like a good story...often a few details is what begins those connections between us.
Here's an example of how the Bible Quilt has crossed state lines:
In October 2016, my sis-in-law and I spoke at a church in Kansas about our initial experiences re: Bible Quilting, how it had enriched our own devotional time as well as blessed others we had shared it with. My friend, Amanda, attended that women's gathering and loved this idea. We chatted about how it could be used as part of family devotionals and even incorporated into her homeschool program with her daughter.
Within a few months, Amanda and I had coordinated to send 75 Bible Quilt journals with her missions team to a children's home in Mexico. Yep, the Lord opened the door to send the #biblequiltjournal international before it went to a second state! (His plan is always so much more than what we think we can do, right?)
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
Amanda invited us back to Kansas do a workshop for her church family...and another one for her homeschool friends and larger community.
The Lord continued to work in Amanda's servant-heart as she asked me if she could share Bible Quilting at a family reunion in South Dakota. We figured out those logistics and I sent her a batch of BQ journal supplies in the summer of 2017.
One of the family members at that South Dakota reunion lives in New York. When she returned home, she contacted me about sharing Bible Quilting at her church. Over the course of a few months, we coordinated the details for her to have a Bible Quilt session for Mother's Day weekend in 2018 at her church in New York.
As I send out Bible Quilt®️ journals to strangers from coast to coast, I'm reminded often of the prayer of Jabez,
"Oh that you would bless me and enlarge my border, and that your hand might be with me..." I Chronicles 4:10.
I pray each day for the Lord to guide me and then try to take the small step of obedience that day, trusting Him for the bigger picture only He can see.

Hello,I am from Missouri. I learned about Bible quilt journal through pintrest.
Hi everyone! I’m Michele Norvell from Ironwood, MI (very small town on the west end of the Upper Peninsula). I also ran across an article on Pinterest and can’t wait to get started!
Hey...I am Rachel Horton from Finger....a small town in West Tennessee. I came across one of your articles on Pintrest amd have been intrigued....I've watched your YouTube videos and read your website. Although I don't consider myself creative, I am a perfectionist and really liked the idea of purchasing one of your journals instead of creating on my own....I am waiting for them to be in stock...so excited to get started!!
Hi there. I am Leslie, from Logueuil, Quebec, Canada. I heard about the Bible Quilting Journal from my sister thru Facebook, and I thought what a wonderful gift for a friend. She writes tiny, loves to color, and is totally a fan of the Word of God. I know she will love this little treasure. Since I live in Canada, it cost a fortune in postage, but my friend is worth every penny. I am eager to receive it, then wrap it up and mail it to her in another city. God bless all of you!
Hi! I'm from Suwanee GA (outside of Atlanta) and I'm excited to start a Bible Quilt in 2023.

Hi Angie, So nice to have you! It’s so beautiful in your in the fall! I’m from Central Texas, near Fort Worth, where the weather changes almost every day.

I’m in Texas, just outside Fort Worth.
I am in Montana. I learned about Bible Quilting when I attended an online conference put on by the Sojo Academy. That was 2-3 years ago (2019 I think), and I'm just now being able to put it into practice during my quiet time in the mornings. Thank you, Dianna for being willing to share your ideas with the rest of us. God bless.
I have always been involved with some kinds of creative work. Stitchery, sewing, quilting, knitting, etc... but as my abilities changed over the years the Lord has always been faithful to fill the void left behind. I am so grateful to have found Bible Quilting through Sojo Academy and a seminar they had several years ago. Of course i did not start at first because I can't draw, my handwriting is not good enough, I just couldn't do something that artistic, the excuses flowed. One day when overcome with the desire to simply create something with color, Dianna did a lesson with Sojo Academy and I was hooked. Now my best friend Diana B., is working on hers and for the first time we are excited to do the BQJ month to month together for 2022. Thank you Dianna Mills.
Hi, I am Adelien from Indonesia. I know BQ from Sojo Academy and Explore God's Words. It has been a long time that I can work on BQ as well. I have just print the monthly BQ I purchased this morning and I am excited to work on it! Thank you Diana for great workshops and guidance. 😀
Yay! I’m SO excited to welcome another Sojo sister aboard! As a Bible journaler, you’ll transition to BQ quickly. Can’t wait to see some of your first pages! Have you joined the FB group yet?
Hi Dianna! This is Angie McGuire from Richmond, Virginia and I found my way here from your creative workshop for Sojo Academy this month! I just watched it, and I'm hooked! I'm so excited to be here! I am a visual learner and already do Bible Journaling, so I am pumped that I have a new way to worship! Thank you!
I just received my Bible quilt journal & am looking forward to doing the 30 days of Trust. I live in Pennsylvania and found this from another website.
