Happy New Year!!
Whether you had an animated time of celebration or were cozy in your jammies, the New Year is here and feels open with possibilities.
As you can see, I was definitely on Team Jammies!
I'm carving out some time today to reflect on the year ahead, considering Bible reading plans and devotionals. I'm kickstarting with my 2025 BQ Calendar.
I chose a blue color palette for a calming ambiance for the prompt, Rest.
As I scurried through some planner stickers, I found this little deer which triggered the verse "as the deer pants..." I decided to do both verses in the top half of this template.
Since I like to pull from both the Old Testament and New Testament, I selected a passage from Hebrews to fill in the bottom half.
In keeping with a refreshing look, I didn't add many embellishments, simply did a soft smudge with a pale green inkpad and cut one large fern sticker into 3 parts to scatter around the page.
Rest was a serious topic for God. He included it in the 10 Commandments. Yet, we struggle with true rest, don't we? If this topic appeals to you, I did a 31-day series called Chasing Quiet that you can follow up with.
I'm hanging up this calendar as a reminder that my greatest rest is IN HIM. As my eyes glimpse it throughout the month, may my pace slow down to reflect on Him, increasing my thirst for His Presence.
