With online services this year, I was able to "pretty up" my Advent sermon notes a little more since I had my craft supplies readily available. I used some Christmas stickers to add a festive touch to them.
How do you celebrate/honor Advent in your family?
The JOYs of this season of worship in our home often ended in some boyish shenanigans. These are the silver linings of #pandemiclife that I hope to cherish for a long time, focusing on full days of family rather than the inconveniences of social distancing.
We've all been stuck in our homes a LOT this year, but we are all stitched together in the BODY of CHRIST. His body IS our house, which is a wonderful perspective shift for this Covid season.
We enjoyed watching a lovely snowfall and bask by the fireplace for week 3. What a gift that we can have a multi-sensory worship experience in our living rooms, yet still feel connected with our church community as our pastor livestreams from his own living room. The Lord is faithful and gracious to us.
Advent is all about waiting expectantly.
It's a season of longing.
It's a yearning for Jesus to come back and take us home.
Our pastor stated "this is the most Advent-y Advent we've every Advented." Yep, that sums it up fairly well, doesn't it?

BQ Notes - I'm going to do my sermon notes in the BQ NOTES journal in 2021. Ready to try it with me?
You talked me into it! It's coming your way!😃
Can you make the BQ Notes templates printable? Then I can print 8.5x11 and put on my happy planner disks... pretty please!?!?!
