Bible Quilt® Journal for God's Girls

Updated: Apr 9

Many Bible Quilters have asked for a BQ journal that would be enticing to young girls so they could introduce daughters or granddaughters to Bible Quilting.

It's here!

On a recent rainy afternoon I picked up a batch of new journals from my local printer and I'm excited to share this version with you!

This 26-page journal is packed with dynamic templates that can immediately be colored and filled with scripture. Thanks to members of our BQ community (Alice, Audra, & Janice) for your template contributions!

The BQJ for God's Girls has a couple introductory pages to help guide newcomers to the innovative journaling technique of Bible Quilting. A couple of tab pages at the back of the journal provide options for a variety of topics.

Here's a video overview:

Several pages can be used to capture scriptures about a girl's activities, perhaps focusing on the values of teamwork and perseverance.

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord..." Colossians 3:23

Or maybe you want to nurture a girl's understanding of her identity in Christ?

"But our citizenship is in heaven..." Philippians 3:20

Other pages can be used to delve into how one's faith is developing and the intentionality of putting on the Armor of God.

"...be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God..." Ephesians 6:10-18

Included in this journal is a Bible reading tracker to encourage girls to color in each book of the Bible as they read in their own personal devotional time. This could also be used as a reading challenge for the whole family. Each member could illustrate their own tracker.

Is this journal just for girls? Nope! Anyone can create with this journal.

I selected templates that I thought would be fun for young girls, but this journal is accessible for everyone. I tailored it with a bright purple binding coil and a flower border that can be colored in to personalize it even further.

There's a place to add a name on the front cover and it has a protective plastic cover to help maintain its longevity as the journal is put into frequent use!

Can't wait to see how you all create

with this new journal!

This would be a wonderful activity for a girls' group you're mentoring or perhaps a Sunday School class you co-teach.

If you've got multiple daughters, cousins, sisters, girlfriends, etc. that you'd like to start on these journals, contact me for batch orders and I'll see what I can do to minimize shipping costs for you.

Join us for the next BQ ZOOM chat and I'll flip through the journal so you can see it in action. We can discuss ideas for how to use this with various groups you may be part of!
