The Psalms have powerful messages and lyrical phrasing, which makes them great passages to do as part of a scripture writing plan.
We've got a 2-page template set that is formatted with quilting squares for Psalm 103.
This process video will guide you through the steps to use gelatos for background color and add verses from Psalm 103 on the 2-page spread.
Prepping the background of the quilt squares all at once is efficient and provides you with a color palette to help determine what other embellishments you might want to use.

You can use colored pencils - even watercolor pencils - to create the same shading technique. I've found the gelatos to be a fairly quick way to add soft colors to my BQ pages.
The 2nd page has an extra quilt square that can be used for a bold title.
