In the Fall of 2021, my church had a Compassion Sunday service in which we were given the opportunity to sponsor a child.
I had been praying for a way for our BQ community to have a tangible outreach and the Lord nudged me to seize this opportunity.
Here's our little friend, William, a sweet 6-year-old living in Bolivia.
I made a prayer page for him in my BQ Notes journal and fully intended to introduce him back then, but the holidays swept us all into a busy season. 🤪
Now I have an updated photo of William and can see how much he's grown.
In our exchange of letters, he's drawn some cute pictures and told me about his school experiences. He's been writing me letters with help from his tutor, cousin, mother, and grandmother. He speaks proudly about helping care for his little sister and requests prayers for the health of his family.
I've added some of William's family members to my BQJ page to use as a prayer reminder.
Please join me in praying for this soccer-loving boy who wants to grow up to be a police officer to help others.
His sponsorship is funded out of the proceeds of BQ digital sales, so thank YOU for your ongoing support of this little Bible Quilting ministry!
I've activated a special coupon code, COMPASSION, for you to use to get 20% off digital goodies so we can continue investing in William's family.
