Do you have a favorite scripture or life verse that you'd like to personalize in a meaningful way?
We often use the Bible Quilt Journal technique to "stitch" several verses onto a page, connecting them together to explore a particular theme or topic.
You can also focus on a single verse, using extra embellishments to enhance the overall impact.
Bible Quilting allows you to linger on particular words and phrases, absorbing them a little more deeply than simply reading or scripture writing.
This process video shows an example of the BQ process:

I used a rubber stamp to create a banner across the top of the page, then began writing the words of this powerful verse.
I used a variety of stitch lines to encapsulate each phrase then finished with some shading and doodling to make the page cheery and colorful.

This innovative journaling technique is a fun way to create with Scripture and can be an effective memorization tool also.
Love the book of Philippians?
Consider #biblequilting a longer passage from it. See this post for a sample of Bible Quilting Philippians Chapter 4, including a process video.
