During the Christmas season as we focus on the humble way Jesus came into our world, I'm focusing on verses about humility.
Years ago I did this topic on the honeycomb template. I like the simplicity of it as this style reflects the topic.
Gradually I curated enough verses for the whole month of December, formatting them into a flip card set for easy handling.
I selected some subdued shades of red and green to do my scripture writing, adding some holiday washi tape and stickers along the way.
As the days leading to Christmas get busier, I have to regroup my scattered thoughts and remember the quiet moments of #biblequilting these verses each morning. Some days are harder than others!
After I do my daily verse I often spend some time on the featured template of the Monthly BQJ or create on a blank page, continuing to reflect on my morning devotional.
Many of our Christmas templates, such as the Trees, are inspired by decor/images of the season.
You're invited to select one that resonates with you to help quiet your spirit and clarify your thoughts as you create with Scripture.
Whenever we're able to focus on the gift of Jesus' humble birth, it shifts our perspective and sharpens our awareness of the simplicity of the gospel message.
Those who came to witness the birth of Jesus, bowed down in a humble posture to worship Him. Our BQ pages can serve as reminders of that First Noel.
May we find ways to continue to humble our hearts as we gather with families to read Luke 2 and attend church services, engaging gently with one another and sharing the love of Christ.
