Father's Day is a time to reflect on how father figures have nurtured and supported us throughout the years. Many Father's Day cards are marketed with stereotypical illustrations of dads fishing, golfing, or fixing things.
Dads often do have a unique repertoire of skills to manage household tasks though, don't they?
Most even have a sturdy toolbox to keep their supplies handy.
To help us celebrate the men in our lives during this season, my friend Mary Jo developed a toolbox template for us to create with in our BQ journals.
I started my page by adding some tool stickers and washi tape, then considered what verses might be applicable to reflect the "measure" of a man.
The page gradually evolved to reflect the "tools" that promote spiritual growth as we rely on the Word for guidance and pray for gentle direction from our heavenly Father.
What are some disciplines and practical skills in our spiritual toolbox?
Prayer - - - Faith - - - Love - - - Trust
Just as we are at work for Him, God is working within us, nurturing and developing our unique skill sets.
psst... I found this measuring tape (masking tape) at Michael's
"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Ephesians 2:10
