Some of you may know that I've got some Bible Quilt Journal pages going for character studies in the Bible.
This morning I discovered the Women of the Word Conference and popped in to the first session to get some inspiration on Esther. I accessed some of the free downloads to print out some illustrations to start my BQ page.
I added a washi tape border to reinforce the top edge of my page before I used my Happy Planner punch to make holes so I can add this page into my Women of the Word Bible Quilt Journal in progress.
I chose accents of purple and gold to reflect Esther's position in the royal family.
I used acryclic stamps to make a title banner, then stamped in the Esther title.
I printed the verse on sticker paper, smudging it with pastels for a little extra background color, then stitched around the edges.
I swiped the page edges with an ink pad, shaded in the female figure, then placed some washi and stickers to balance out the page.
I listed some characteristics of Esther as part of the object lesson, then followed a prompt about some of my own characteristics that I can use to serve His kingdom.
Lastly, I added an Esther tab and insertd the page into my Women of the Word BQ journal.
We are so fortunate to be able to access online conferences and capitalize on resources offered to get a jumpstart on some of our #biblequiltjournal pages. I thought I'd share this quick post on my approach to these types of experiences. Here are some additional printables to help you launch some character study BQJ pages. I've got a few other blog posts in the works for other women in the Bible, such as I did for Ruth, as well as some more templates, so stay tuned!
